COVID-19 claims two more in Chitwan



CHITWAN: Two more persons died of coronavirus infection in Chitwan on Friday.

A 76-year-old woman of Bharatpur Metropolitan City died while receiving treatment at Old Medical College.

She was admitted to the hospital last week after the fever and a problem in respiration. She tested positive for coronavirus after two days of her admission to the hospital.

Likewise, a 78-year-old man from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-7 died while receiving treatment at Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan, Hospital’s Information Officer Leeladhar Poudel said. He was admitted to the hospital on Thursday night and tested positive for the virus on the day itself.

With this, 22 persons lost their lives due to Covid-19 in Chitwan district.

Officials said that the number of active cases in Chitwan district is 1,000 plus.
