Online ticket booking for tourist buses starts

KATHMANDU: Online ticket booking for tourist buses has started.

The Tourist Bus Association of Nepal (TBAN) signed an agreement with Electronics Concern and Research Centre Pvt Ltd with an objective to sell bus tickets online. TBAN Chair Ishwor Sharma and ECRC Chair Sanjit Poudel signed the agreement in this regard on Friday.

With the agreement, tickets of all tourist buses under the TBAN could be booked online.

TBAN Chair Sharma maintained that they have initiated online ticket booking to reach the foreign and domestic tourists to their destinations safely by following health safety criteria during COVID-19 pandemic.

He said, “All tourist buses under TBAN have been providing their services as per the health protocols implemented by World Health Organization and Health Ministry.”

Several 100 buses under the TBAN have now been providing their services in Chitwan, Pokhara, Lumbini and Janakpur from Kathmandu.

A tourist bus entrepreneur Shishir Khanal said that they have been facing parking problem in lack of a separate bus park for the tourist buses.
