Traffic resumes on Beni-Jomsom road



BENI: Vehicular movement has been resumed on the Beni-Jomsom road.

The road linking Mustang via the northern belt of Myagdi has been opened 18 days after it was disrupted due to landslide at several places.

Traffic on the 76-kilometer-long roadway was obstructed after the landslide at Rupse and Kavre of Annapurna rural municipality-3 in Myagdi and at Ghoptebhir on the border with Mustang washed away section of the road.

Chief of Beni-Jomsom-Korala Road Project, Ashok Tiwari said traffic has been resumed after removing the landslide debris deposited on the road, construction of diversion and new road at some places.
