Woman succumbs to COVID-19 at Bhaktapur Hospital



KATHMANDU: A woman died at Bhaktapur Hospital due to coronavirus infection on Friday.

A 72-year-old woman of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-8 died this morning while undergoing treatment for the coronavirus, said hospital’s Medical Superintendent Dr. Sumitra Gautam.

The infection was confirmed on the woman on September 23.

Dr. Gautam said that the woman who was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kathmandu was referred to Bhaktapur Hospital on Sunday due to serious health complications.

The hospital stated that she died while undergoing treatment in the ICU.
