KATHMANDU: Four individuals, who were extorting money from various individuals impersonating themselves as police personnel, have been arrested from Naxal.

Police arrested four people including 32-year-old Kul Bahadur Basnet of Likhu rural municipality-3, Damanangtar, Okhaldhunga, currently staying in Naya Thimi, Bhaktapur.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Metropolitan Police Circle, Maligaun, arrested them for demanding money for dropping construction materials including sand and aggregates at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-1, Naxal.
