Prohibitory order in areas having over 500 active COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: The government has said a prohibition order could be issued in districts where there are more than 500 active COVID-19 infected persons.

Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, said that government could issue prohibitory order in the districts where there are more than 500 active infected persons.

Similarly,  governing bodies could impose lockdown in the districts where there are more than 200 active-infected persons.

At present, more than 500 people are actively infected in 12 districts. These include Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Morang, Sunsari, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, Parsa, Chitwan and Rupandehi.

Similarly, there are 6 districts with more than 200 active infections. They are Siraha, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Kapilvastu, Dang and Kailali.
