Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 251 with 12 new fatalities



KATHMANDU: As many as 12 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the national tally to 251.

Speaking at the regular press briefing on Wednesday, Dr Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Population stated that six males and six females have died from the coronavirus infection.

Six males aged 97 of Bara, 65 of Chitwan, 40 of Bhaktapur, 70 and 75 of Kathmandu and 47 of Dhading and six females aged 55 and 18 of Chitwan, 89 of Kathmandu, 70 of Lalitpur, 20 of Tanahun and 60 of Kapilvastu who had tested positive for COVID-19, died while receiving treatment at various hospital across the nation.

The death rate stands at 0.6 percent.
