Janakpurdham Municipality to see prohibitory order from Monday

JANAKPURDHAM: In account of the increasing number of COVID-19 pandemic cases, the District Administration Office Dhanusha has issued prohibition order to stall the reckless movements of the people in the area effective from Monday midnight.

According to Prem Prasad Bhattarai, Chief District Officer of Janakpurdham, the prohibitory order shall be effective for one week starting from Monday midnight.

The decision was taken after the pandemic cases were noticed in the Jankpurdham area in an alarming number.

CDO Bhattarai said that the order has been issued in order to prevent further spread of the coronavirus.

He further informed that only essential services including health, security, drinking water, milk and others will be allowed to function during the prohibited period.

Amid the increasing number of coronavirus cases, specially, from the bordering districts four districts of Province 2 have issued the prohibitory orders till date.

Rajbiraj (Saptari), Birgunj (Parsa), Jaleshwor (Mahottari) have already seen the prohibitory orders adding Janakpurdham, the temporary headquarter of province 2 in the list of towns to see such orders from Monday.
