Prisoner who escaped from Bhimphedi Jail arrested



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a prisoner who had escaped from a jail in Makwanpur district.

A team of police from District Police Office, Makwanpur arrested Kuldipraj Dhami, 25, of Ramdhuni Municipality-7 in Sunsari district.

The court had sentenced Dhami to 20 years in prison for murdering Rojin Gurung, 21. Dhami, who was serving his sentence in Bhimphedi Prison, had escaped on October 17, 2019.

Police on Friday arrested him from Devchuli Municipality-16 in Nawalparasi while he was heading to Chitwan from Kanchanpur.
