MTPD sealed, 375 including SSP quarantined

KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) has been sealed after two traffic policemen were found to have contracted the coronavirus.

A total of 375 people, including the head of the division, SSP Bhim Prasad Dhakal, have been kept in quarantine.

SSP Dhakal told Khabarhub that those found infected on Friday have been sent to the hospital for treatment.

Over 1150 traffic police have been deployed for traffic management after 375 were quarantined.

Coronavirus cases in the Kathmandu Valley and among the security forces have alarmed the public about the possibilities of community-level transmission soon.
