Heavy rainfall forecast for four provinces

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of Province 1, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Sudurpaschim Province on Sunday.

In a weather bulletin issued for today, it said that the weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country and light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of the country.

A similar weather pattern will be witnessed at night, the MFD stated.

The met office has asked to adopt precaution for the coming 24 hours as the water level in the rivers in the abovementioned provinces may increase, landslides might occur in hilly area and road and air traffic may be affected and inundation may take place in areas with no proper drainage.
