Issuance of labor permits for foreign employment begins today



KATHMANDU: The government has re-opened the labor permits for foreign employment that was closed since March 13.

According to the Department of Foreign Employment, the permits will be issued for those whose visas and contracts have expired. However, the new workers will not get the labor permits for foreign employment.

A meeting of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) had decided to allow the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security issuing work permits for foreign employment.
