NEPSE index down by 6 percent



KATHMANDU: Trading was halted on Thursday after the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 6 percent.

NEPSE, which closed for two days on Tuesday and Wednesday due to a positive circuit breaker, closed on Thursday due to a negative circuit break.

Trading was suspended for 20 minutes after the first circuit breaker was clamped at 23 minutes after the market opened on Thursday, and for 40 minutes after the second circuit breaker was enforced at 11:47 am.

The stock market that opened at 12:27 was closed after the third circuit breaker at 12:40.
