Gandaki State prioritizing infrastructure development

POKHARA: The Gandaki State government has prioritized to extend road and other infrastructures in the State.

Presenting the policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year 2020/021, Chief of Gandaki State Amik Sherchan said that the State government was preparing short-term, mid-term and long-term policies for the purpose.

He said that the State government has appealed to non-resident Nepalis to invest in tourism, agriculture and energy sectors. Sherchan also said that the State government was intensifying to construct stadium in State and local levels.

The State government was coordinating with the local levels while preparing policy and programs and the Chief Minister is taking initiatives for the same, Sherchan announced.

Sherchan was of the statement that the State’s planning commission vice chair and chief attorney were facilitating between the local levels and State to establish consistency in their policy and programs.

He said 108 kms road was blacktopped while 207 kms was graveled under the road extension program in the fiscal year 2019/020.

Similarly, contract agreement was signed to blacktop 552 kms road within two years. RSS
