Ministry publicizes list of hospitals treating COVID-19 patients



KATHMANDU: The government has published the list of hospitals to carry out treatment of coronavirus-infected people across the country.

The Ministry of Health has listed Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in Teku, Patan Hospital, Bir Hospital, Nepal Army Hospital, Armed Police Force Hospital, and Ayurved Research Center inside the Kathmandu Valley.

Likewise, the ministry has also listed the names of the hospitals in all seven provinces — Mechi and Udayapur in Province 1, Bara and Janakpur in Province 2, Sindhuli, Bhaktapur in Bagmati, Dhaulagiri and Gorkha in Gandaki, Tamghas and Lumbini in Province 5, Surkhet and Dailekh in Karnali, and Mahakali and Seti in Sudurpaschhim Province.

Similarly, the government has also made necessary preparation for the treatment of coronavirus-infected patients in 63 province-level hospitals in all seven provinces — five in Province 2, 10 in Bagmati, 13 district hospitals in Province 1, nine in Province 5, eight in Karnali, 10 in Gandaki, and 8 in Sudurpaschhim Province.

Likewise, medical colleges including Birat Medical College, Chitwan Medical College, BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Gandaki Medical College, College of Medical Science, Chitwan, Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, Kathmandu Medical College, Janaki Medical College, Dhulikhel Hospital, KIST Medical College, Manipal Medical College, National Medical College, Nobel Medical College, Patan Academy of Health Sciences, Nepalgunj Medical College, Rapti Academy of Health Sciences, Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, Universal Medical College and Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) will also provide coronavirus-infected patients.
