COVID-19 cases in Spain hit nearly 100,000

KATHMANDU: The coronavirus infection is fast spreading in Spain. A total of 95, 923 have been infected with the novel virus as of Wednesday morning.

The novel virus which first broke out in Wuhan City of China last December has taken a heavy toll across the European continent.

As many as 748 people died in the last 24 hours in Spain taking the total to 8, 464. Similarly, 7, 967 have been infected in a single day.

With this, the total number of people infected in the country has reached 95, 923, of which 19, 225 have recovered after treatment.

According to latest figures collated by Worldometer, 5, 607 among 67, 200 undergoing treatment is critical.

The global death toll from the novel virus has reached 856, 910 after 72, 172 were infected in the last 24 hours.

As many as 42, 107 people have died so far across the world while 177, 141 have recovered after treatment.
