Machhindra Club beats APF 2-1



KATHMANDU: Machhindra Club defeated Armed Police Force (APF) 2-1 in the ongoing Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League on Saturday.

With the win, Machhindra has topped the point tally of the tournament with 22 points from 10 matches. The second-placed Tribhuvan Army Club has 20 points from nine matches.

APF took the lead after Ramesh Dangal scored a goal in the 43rd minute of the game.

Bishal Rai B leveled the score right after the break in the 47th minute.

Machhindra doubled the lead through a spot-kick in the 78th minute.

Peter Segun was fouled inside the box for which referee pointed for spot-kick. Ranjit Dhimal scored the goal.
