DAMAULI: Coordinator of the Visit Nepal Year 2020, Suraj Vaidya, has said Nepal has safe environment for visit and this message should be widely circulated across the globe. Inaugurating the Bandipur festival here Friday, he urged the foreign tourists to visit Nepal without any hesitation.
The festival is organized by Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal Kathmandu Chapter with the collaboration of Bandipur Tourism Development Committee and Regional Tourism Development Committee. “Some foreigners still think Nepal is not safe to travel, but it is safe.
The message of security and features in Nepal should therefore be spread throughout the world,” he said, adding that tourism is one of the major bases of economic development.
Tourism promotion was imperative for national prosperity, according to him. The VNY Coordinator further said although Nepal is small, it is not poor.
It is rich in natural beauty and resources. Utmost utilization of natural resources can help build prosperous Nepal, he stressed.
He suggested other communities that they learned from Bandipur on tourism development. “It is laudable Bandipur has helped a lot on tourism development and promotion,” Vaidya observed.
He also shared that three big programmes would be organized in Bandipur on the VNY 2020. The Coordinator said although some problems were witnessed in Nepal’s tourism due to coronavirus spreading in China, there was no need to panic much.
On the occasion, chief of District Coordination Committee in Tanahu, Shantiraman Wagle, said the utmost efforts of the local made Bandipur internationally popular.
Chairperson of Bandipur rural municipality, Purna Singh Thapa, shared the information that long-term vision of 20 years was being prepared for the development of Bandipur.
