Nepse jumps 27.7 points this week



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) that spiraled down by 46 points in the previous week soared up with 27.7 points this week.

The benchmark index saw fluctuations this week. On the first day of the week (Sunday), it had plummeted by 20.79 points but it went up by 23.95 points on Monday.

Likewise, it saw improvements by 5.05 points on Tuesday and dropped again by 0.27 points on Wednesday. It soared by 19.51 points on Thursday, the last trading day of the week..

The overall transaction went down this week. Shares worth over Rs 8.55 billion had been sold in the previous week while this week saw a transaction of only 6.54 billion.

Nepal life Insurance topped the transaction charts with Rs 334 million this week followed by Global IME Bank and Surya Life Insurance, respectively, according to Nepse.
