Policeman dies at Phaplu Airport in line of duty



SOLUKHUMBU: A policeman has died in the line of duty in Solukhumbu.

Chitra Bahadur Gurung, 50, of Temkemayung Rural Municipality in Bhojpur has died while on duty.

Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Gurung deployed for the security of Phaplu Airport died at around 4:45 pm on Tuesday afternoon.

He was pronounced dead at Phaplu Hospital after falling unconscious while on duty.

According to the District Police Office, Solukhumbu, he died of a heart attack. The body has been handed over to relatives.
