34 industries to face music



KATHMANDU: The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control has decided to take action against 34 industries producing inedible food items.

Among those industries, while 15 are related to production of drinking water, eight are related to food grain and lentils.

Likewise, six are related to milk and milk products and three are related to vegetable ghee and cooking oil and three others.

Similarly, the Department said the proprietors of some industries have been kept under surveillance as the 70 samples of food and drink products produced and sold by these industries were found to be sub-standard.
