Man arrested with three kg opium in Banke

DANG: Police have arrested Chandra Prakash Oli of Sanibheri Rural Municipality in Rukum West along with three kilograms of opium.

According to the Lumbini Province Police Office, Tulsipur Dang, Oli, 27, was arrested from Shivakhola in Banke, a border area between Dang and Banke.

According to the police, the opium was recovered by plainclothes cops deployed following a tip-off from a bag he was holding.

A joint team of police and Narcotics Control Bureau, Nepalgunj, arrested Oli from Shivakhola of Raptisonari Rural Municipality-1.

Police said that further investigation is underway into the incident.
