Former State Minister Raya arrested from gambling den



KATHMANDU: Former State Minister Khobhari Raya has been arrested at a gambling den in Swayambhu, Kathmandu on Saturday.

According to SSP Shyam Lal Gyawali, the chief of the Metropolitan Police Range in Kathmandu, a police team from the Metropolitan Police Circle in Swayambhu nabbed 10 people, including former state minister Raya.

Police have confiscated a total of Rs 153,000 in cash from them.

Raya was a leader of the then Sadbhawana Party.

Even though he joined the then CPN-Maoist Centre in 2017, he has remained passive in politics.
