NAC being pushed in crisis by colluding with agents: Leader Nepal

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and lawmaker Madhav Kumar Nepal has accused that the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is being pushed into a financial crisis.

Speaking at a parliamentary committee, Nepal questioned why private service providers are always making profits and government-owned service providers are always at a loss.

Nepal also accused of colluding with various agents to prevent the aircraft from reaching profitable destinations.

The lawmakers participating in the meeting accused the government of trying to push NAC to a crisis by giving the facility of self-ground handling to Himalaya Airlines.

During the discussion in the International Relations Committee of the Parliament, lawmaker Divyamani Rajbhandari accused that the source of income of the national flag carrier is being closed to elongate the government’s stay in power.
