In pics: Expired food items in huge quantity recovered, eight arrested



KATHMANDU: Police recovered a large number of expired food items from Kalanki in Kathmandu and arrested eight people on Thursday.

Police arrested Raunak Gothra, director of IN Distributors, from Bafal and Puspadevi Agrawal from Putalisadak.

Munna Thakur, Pappu Kumar Thakur, Shyam Prasad Singh, Ram Bahadur Bayalkoti, Sitaram Uparkoti and Dilip Thapa Magar were also arrested.

The Metropolitan Crime Division recovered the items from IN Distributors this afternoon while they were preparing to send them to the market by pasting new stickers on the expired items.
