Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 239 with 11 more fatalities

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded 11 new coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 239, the Ministry of Health and Population stated.

In a regular press briefing on Tuesday afternoon, Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that 10 males and one female have died of the pandemic.

A 4-year-old girl and a 37-year-old man from Mahottari, a 65-year-old man from Siraha, men aged 53, 80 and 60 years from Parsa, a 60-year-old man from Bara, a 52-year-old man from Chitwan, men aged 70 and 35 years from Kathmandu a 58-year-old man from Makwanpur have succumbed to the coronavirus.

Seven people including three women had lost their lives from the coronavirus infection on Monday.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded 1,069 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours. With the new cases, Nepal’s caseload has reached 40,529.

Similarly, coronavirus has been confirmed on 481 people in Kathmandu valley in the last 24 hours.
