Parsa reports two more deaths from coronavirus



KATHMANDU:  Two more people have died from coronavirus in Parsa district.

The deceased have been identified as a 53-year-old man of Birgunj Metropolitan City-20, Harpatgunj and a 60-year-old man whose address is yet to be ascertained, informed Dr Atulesh Kumar Chaurasiya, the spokesperson for Narayani Hospital.

The swab sample of the 53-year-old had been collected on August 14 and his report had come out positive on August 31.

He had been undergoing treatment at COVID Birgunj Health Care. He died on Monday midnight, said Dr Chaurasiya.

The other 60-year-old whose identity is yet to be ascertained died at the emergency ward at 8:45 pm (Monday), according to Narayani Hospital.

He had been admitted to the hospital on last Saturday. The report of the swab test result of the sexagenarian also came out positive.

With this, the number of deaths from the coronavirus has reached 39 in Parsa district.
