Sudurpaschim Province reports 168 COVID-19 cases in past 24 hrs



DHANGADHI: Sudurpaschim Province has witnessed 168 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 66 people from Kailali, 66 from Bajhang, 28 from Achham and eight from Kanchanpur have been infected in the tests conducted at the three laboratories.

Tests at the National Public Health Laboratory, Teku, confirmed the infection in 43 people in Bajhang, 28 in Achham, nine in Kailali and eight in Kanchanpur, the ministry said in a regular press conference on Saturday afternoon.

Similarly, tests at Dhulikhel Hospital showed the infection in 27 people from Kailali and a total of 53 people, including 30 from Kailali and 23 from Bajhang, have been found infected at the laboratory of Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi on Saturday.

With the new cases, coronavirus cases in Sudurpaschim Province have reached 4,692. Among them, 3,010 have been discharged, while nine succumbed to the pandemic.
