Dahal-Nepal camp chalks out agenda for Thursday’s Standing Committee meeting

KATHMANDU: In a bid to chalk out a strategy against Prime Minister KP Oli, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leaders, including Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior leader Madhav Kumar Dahal and others held a meeting in Lalitpur on Wednesday.

The meeting held at a bakery at Jhamsikhel of Lalitpur discussed the agenda to be presented in Thursday’s Standing Committee meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

The leaders discussed on coming up with a ‘common agenda’ in Thursday’s meeting in a bid to pressurize PM Oli.

It has been learned that other leaders, including party Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Vice Chairman Bam Dev Gautam, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, among others were also present in the meeting.

The disgruntled section of the party has already sought Prime Minister Oli’s resignation.

It should also be noted that five Standing Committee members while presenting their views during Wednesday’s meeting also sought the resignation of the Prime Minister.

The meeting was then deferred until Thursday.
