Congress meeting postponed until Sunday



KATHMANDU: The Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress has been postponed until Sunday.

The meeting has been called for Sunday after passing a condolence resolution on the demise of lawmaker Gyan Kumari Chhantyal.

On Thursday, the party central office will remain closed. The party has also decided to lower the party’s flag half -mast tomorrow and will not hold any formal programs.

The meeting, which started on Tuesday, is discussing the general convention schedule, citizenship bill among other issues.

Chhantyal, who was elected proportional representation from the Nepali Congress in 2074 BS, passed away today.

She died today while undergoing treatment at the Ganga Lal National Heart Center.
