Chand-led faction’s district secretary arrested

BHAKTAPUR: Police have arrested Bhaktapur district secretary of the Netra Bikram Chand-led faction.

Ain Bahadur Shahi was arrested last evening from Thimi in connection to the bomb blast in the house of former Minister Gokul Baskota in Lokanthali on March 11, police said.

Shahi was absconding after the bomb blast. It should be noted that Chand-led outlawed faction had taken responsibility for the blast.

A pressure cooker bomb was detonated with remote control at the house of Baskota causing slight damage to the wall of the adjacent house.
