ANFA allocates Rs 700 million budget for coming fiscal year



KATHMANDU: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has allocated Rs 700 million budget for the coming fiscal year 2020/21.

The working committee meeting held on Monday said that out of total budget, 56 percent of the allocated amount will be managed by FIFA grant, 10 percent by AFC grant and the remaining 34 percent by its sources.

ANFA has also decided to distribute a relief package amount to US 100,000 from the FIFA relief grant to reduce the damage caused to football by the Nobel Coronavirus. A

The meeting also decided to provide Rs, 75,000 each to A, B and C division clubs. It has also decided to provide Rs 75000 as assistance to the district associations.

In the virtual meeting, lasted for seven hours, the members of the ANFA working committee put forward their views.
One of the participants told Khabarhub that disputes and power-saving issues were also raised in the meeting.

He said that ANFA had taken up the issue of action against Purushottam Thapa, President of Lalitpur District Football
Association, a few days ago.

He said that the controversial statement of ANFA president Karma Tshering Sherpa was also raised in the meeting.
Sources said that the discussion was prolonged after ANFA central member Daba Lama raised a direct question on the chairman.

“Daba pointed a finger at Chairman Sherpa and asked him why he would not take action against the Lalitpur district chairman for making controversial remarks,” the source said.
