Coronavirus kills over 373,800, infects nearly 6.3 mln across world



KATHMANDU: Coronavirus pandemic has killed 373,848 people and infected 6,262, 422 globally in the last five months.

With 108, 481 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 6,262, 422 in the last 24 hours. The death toll has reached 373,848 with 3, 183 new deaths in a single day.

Currently, 3,042,410 Coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals, of which 53, 409 are critical. Meanwhile, 2,846,477 have returned home after recovery.

The deadly virus has claimed 173,726 people in European countries so far while 2,019,781 have been infected. Meanwhile, 987,080 have recovered after treatment.

Similarly, 124, 885 have died in North America while 2,069,932 have been infected with the novel virus. Of them, 678, 601 have recovered.

Similarly, 30,777 have died in Asia and 1,136,816 have been infected. Meanwhile, 694,866 have recovered after treatment.

South America has reported 40,081 have died from Coronavirus. Meanwhile, 877,944 have been infected, of which 352,606 have returned home after treatment.

Likewise, 4, 245 people have died in African countries and 148,773 have been infected. Among those infected, 63, 463 have recovered.

In Oceania countries including Australia have reported 125 deaths, 8,804 infection cases. Among those infected, 8, 196 have recovered from the novel virus.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world.
