Coronavirus kills 106, 195, infects 1,837,170 in USA



KATHMANDU: America, the worst-hit in terms of both deaths and infection cases, has reported 630 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 106, 195.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 20, 145 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 1,837,170 so far.

Currently, 1,131, 108  coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which 17, 075 are critical.  Meanwhile, 599, 867 have recovered after treatment.

New York is the worst-hit with 29, 918 deaths followed by New Jersey and Massachusetts with 11,711 and 6, 846 deaths, respectively.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency on January 31 in the US.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 373,848 and infecting 6,262, 422 people so far.
