200 APF players to be mobilized for border security

KATHMANDU: Players of the Armed Police Force (APF) will  be deployed at the southern border to tighten security amid the government’s efforts to prevent and control Covid-19.

Some 350 national and international players are in the APF. Some players from APF have won medals for Nepal in the 13th South Asian Games.

Despite being players, they are obliged to follow the organizational rules and training.

APF sources said that the players are also being mobilized for the border security. “They have also undergone training. So it is obvious for players to go to the field,” the source said.

A team of 200 people, including players, is being deployed in State 2 to tighten the border with India.
