KATHMANDU:  The meeting of Parliament has been postponed till January 12 as the leaders of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) have remained as odds on the selection of a new Speaker.

The meeting was postponed until 1 pm on January 12 by issuing a notice.

Prime Minister and NCP Chairman KP Oli and another Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday held a discussion for two hours on a candidate for a new Speaker.

The meeting, however, ended undecided.
