Cold wave effect: Schools closed for four days in Nepalgunj

NEPALGUNJ: Schools at Nepalgunj sub-metropolis and Duduwa rural municipality in Banke have been closed for the next four days due to the increasing cold.

The schools will remain closed till January 3 as per the decision of the Education Committee under the local government.

Cold weather conditions have made life in Nepalgunj tough, Nepalgunj municipal education committee chief Gorkha Bahadur Thapa said.

Meanwhile, biting cold has hit poor, helpless and destitute the most and the local government has managed bonfire at different parts of the area.
