NC calls CWC meeting to finalize by-election candidates

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has decided to hold its Central Working Committee meeting on Friday in order to finalize the candidate for the upcoming by-election.

Chief Secretary at Party Office, Krishna Prasad Poudel, shared that the committee meeting of the party being held at party central office at 1:00 pm shall finalize by-election candidate and hold a discussion on contemporary politics, preparation of the by-election, the formation of central departments, etc.

It is said the central committee itself finalizes the election candidate because the parliamentary committee was not formed till now. The central committee meeting authorizes the party office-bearers for it.

Meanwhile, the discussion of the party office bearers held at President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence, Budhanilakanth, discussed the party’s status in the districts and State Assembly constituency where a by-election is being held.

The central representatives the party mobilized in course of the national awareness campaign had informed the party leadership about the party situation in the respective areas where the election is being held.
