Parameters of Chandrayaan-2 normal: ISRO

NEW DELHI: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has said the spacecraft parameters of Chandrayaan-2, India’s second moon mission, to land a rover on the Lunar South Pole are ‘normal’.

ISRO’s powerful three-stage rocket GSLV-MkIII-M1 had launched the spacecraft into the Earth’s orbit from the spaceport in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota on July 22.

ISRO said that the third earth-bound orbit-raising maneuver for Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft has been done successfully on Wednesday as planned. The fourth orbit-raising maneuver is scheduled on August 2. (Agencies)
