Indian national arrested for call bypassing

BUTWAL: An Indian national has been arrested on the charge of bypassing telephone calls illegally through Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

The arrested is Khurshed Ansari, 26, of India currently living in Siddharthanagar Municipality-3.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police raided his rented room and arrested Ansari.

Police also confiscated different equipment used in call bypassing. The seized equipment includes two laptops, 32 aerials, one router, two devices, one UPS and two chargers among others.

Some 167 persons including 37 foreigners have been arrested so far from 108 places of the country for their alleged involvement in call bypassing.
