S Jaishankar is India’s new Minister for External Affairs; Amit is Home Minister

NEW DELHI: India’s President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday announced the list of ministries on the recommendation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to the portfolio, President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Amit Shah is the new Home Minister. Rajnath Singh, who was the Home Minister in the previous government, is the Defense Minister.

Likewise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will look after the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions; Department of Space; Department of Atomic Energy; and other portfolios, which are not allocated to any minister.
