Chitwan police arrests 2 Chinese suspects



BHARATPUR: Chitwan Police has arrested two Chinese nationals for their alleged involvement in cybercrime and hacking.

They were arrested from The Fern Residency (Hotel CG) few days ago, said DSP Ek Narayan Koirala of District Police Office, Chitwan.

DSP Koirala said they are carrying out investigation into them on the charge of ‘misdemeanor’ by taking a remand from the court.

They were caught while they were assuring locals that they would bring in investment in Chitwan district.

A preliminary investigation shows that they were involved in cybercrimes and hacking, a source at the DPO, Chitwan said.

Police arrested 122 Chinese nationals from Kathmandu on the charge of committing crimes against their country one week ago.
