Chinese national arrested with one kg gold in Nepal

KATHMANDU: A Chinese national has been arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Friday night while he smuggling one kg gold into Nepal.

According to police, the arrested is 22-year-old Sa Lutui holding passport number EIE 7997882.

Sa was arrested after police though a medical detector detected that he was carrying a suspicious object. He was taken to the Sinamangal-based Kathmandu Medical College where it was found that Sa had hidden four pieces gold inside his rectum.

Police on Thursday night had arrested two Chinese nationals with eight kilograms of gold at the airport.
