BAITADI: A suspicious object was found on the Mahakali highway at Silkelek of Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-5.

Police said a steel bucket connected to a cable was spotted at 11 am at the place and it is suspected that the cadres of the banned Netra Bikram Chand outfit might have kept it there.

A team of police has been dispatched to the site, Chief District Officer Ananda Poudel said.

Voting is in progress under the by-elections for the election of ward chair at Ward No 4 of Dogadakedar rural municipality, at Ward No 1 of Surnaya rural municipality and ar Ward No 4 of Purchaudi municipality.
