CAN appoints Gyanendra Malla as interim captain of national cricket team

KATHMANDU: Cricketer Gyanendra Malla has been named the interim captain of the national cricket team.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) today entrusted Malla to take the responsibility of an interim captain of the national team.

The post was lying vacant following the resignation of former captain Paras Khadka on October 15.

Malla has been named as the interim captain with the responsibility for the scheduled series against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) to be held in November in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Likewise, the Dipendra Singh Airee has been given the responsibility of the vice-captain.
