POKHARA: A person died and two others injured in a road accident in Pokhara last evening.
According to the District Police Office (DPO) Kaski, the deceased has been identified as Nanda Prasad Gurung, 29 of Beshisahar, Lamjung.
He was severely injured when a Scorpio jeep — Ba 1 Ya 875 — hit his three-wheeler –Ga 12 Pa 8800 — at Talchowk of Pokhara. Gurung died in course of treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital, according to DPO Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar KC.
The driver of the three-wheeler sustained an injury in the accident.
The jeep also hit another scooter — Ga 9 Pa 5482 — at the same time leaving Ajit Gurung, a scooter rider, of Pokhara-18 injured.
The two are under treatment, said the police.
