12 taken ill by consuming poisonous mushroom in Sarlahi

SARLAHI: A total of 12 members from the same family of Ishworpur-11, Sarlahi, have been taken ill after consuming poisonous mushroom curry.

Brij Kumar Majhi’s family became sick after consuming poisonous mushroom, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pratit Singh Rathor.

He said that the family had brought the wild mushroom from the nearby forest.

While Brij Kumar is receiving treatment at the local healthcare facility, the rest 11 have been sent to Janakpur for further treatment, police said.
