Opponents giving unnecessary trouble, laments PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli today alleged the opposition parties of creating unnecessary troubles to the government by raising non-issues.,

“I have been reiterating the fact that the government is on the right track, and is performing well,” he said, adding, “I don’t understand why the opponents have been turning non-issues into issues to mislead the common people.”

PM Oli said it has become a custom to protest or disseminate false information about the government. “The government would, however, not engage in such deterrents,” he added.

The PM said this while laying the foundation stone of the new residential buildings for ministers at Bhainsepati of Lalitpur.

Prime Minister Oli went on to say that the government has not reined in freedom of speech. “However, criticisms need to be healthy, not filthy.”

In another context, PM Oli said that it would take one more year for the completion of the Melamchi Water Supply Project.
