PATNA: Over 110 people have died in rain-related incidents across Bihar and Uttar Pradesh of India as heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in the region.

According to the Uttar Pradesh relief commissioner’s office, a total of 14 people died on Sunday in incidents such as wall collapse, house collapse, and trees being uprooted because of strong winds and heavy rainfall.

Normalcy in the Indian state of Bihar has been thrown out of gear, India media reports have said.

People have been seen wading through waterlogged streets. The Nation Disaster Response Force (NDRF) used boats to rescue residents in several parts of Patna, Bihar’s capital city. (Agencies)
