Girl allegedly gang-raped in Saptari



SAPTARI: Two youths allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl after abducting her on Thursday.

The group offered tainted juice to the girl as she was on the way back to home from a local market in the evening of Thursday and picked her up after she lost her conscious upon reaching the local Shahid Darsan Chowk, the girl narrated.

The alleged perpetrators dropped her near her house in the midnight, after four-five hours of the abduction. She was crying when she reached home, according to her mother. She is heartbroken since the incident.

The mother has, on the initiation of INSEC, filed a complaint at the District Police Office this morning. According to INSEC representatives, the girl underwent medical checkup at the Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, Rajbiraj.

Police are searching for the alleged perpetrators on the basis of their physical features suggested by the girl, DPO Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Yadav said.
